Madness or what passes for it....
The thought just crossed my mind that, for me, getting through life these days is like living in Acre, not sure what that meant I realized that one of the first actions that I took in Paris was to lay red roses at the site where Jacques de Molay was burned at the stake 3/18/1314...breathing under siege, I think it time to depart for somewhere else...that said..
I am reading Foucault's History of Madness very accessible and on point to what I have been pondering these last few weeks...Are we all mad? Or simply selfish? Or is the selfishness that drives another into desperation and poverty a form of madness? I believe that organized religions are a mass delusion, created to insure comfort and to create those divisions and diversions that mankind seems so in need of.... There are other diversions that seem to abound these days...television, computers, any activity that requires concentration and control of our minds.... So the question that I am considering is....Is any diversion that keeps us from the moment a form of madness?

David Wojnarowicz
Went to New York this past week and finally joined MOMA....if you don't know what that is look it up...it doesn't happen often, that a work of art makes me cry, but this one did thank you David Wojnarowicz..... http://www.ppowgallery.com/onedaythiskid/ .....I only wish that the idiots in Washington on both sides of the fence had hearts and souls and minds that could open up and look at that work....small and angry men making rules and regulations for anyone they consider outsider....and that means children, women (and yes all women - you can put Hilary in as Secretary of State but that doesn't mean that women as a group have any power, it's the same old throw the dog a bone) I think it's womb/uterus envy...more on this later, perhaps....and anyone whose sexuality isn't man/woman/missionary...and if they are the insiders then I would never want to be one.... all of the beauty and truth in the world is produced by the outsiders. The insiders went after the Smithsonian Museum for Wojnarowicz's A Fire in My Belly video which was part of the "Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture" exhibit. The video http://vimeo.com/17692112 was removed because of the climate of blackmail now being perpetrated by Congress through the withholding of funding. Anyone who loves personal expression, art, the ability to think, and effective education must be appalled at what is taking place in America, whether they be rich or poor....
